New CEO for BUSSQ

BUSSQ has confirmed that Linda Vickers will be moving into the role of chief executive officer (CEO) at the $3 billion industry super fund.

Vickers took up the appointment of risk & compliance manager in 1998 and in 2013 became chief operating officer, a role she currently holds. She will replace CEO David O'Sullivan who, in turn, has been appointed as the fund's chief investment officer.

Commenting on the restructure, which will take effect in October 2016, O'Sullivan said: "The change is part of a wider succession planning strategy plus the need for some additional executive resource to help us better cover a range of functions."

An executive search is underway for Vickers' replacement as COO.
