New board director for Suncorp

Suncorp has announced the appointment of Ian Hammond as a director of its board, effective 2 October 2018.

Hammond, who has 35 years' experience in the finance industry and was formerly a chartered accountant and audit partner with PwC., also serves on the boards of Perpetual Limited and Venues NSW.

Commenting on his appointment, Suncorp chair, Christine McLoughlin, said: "Ian has outstanding business acumen and brings considerable capability across financial services that strengthens the expertise of the current board."

She added: "His perspectives will also support Suncorp's focus on ensuring continuous improvement in delivering customer outcomes and aligning them to community expectations."
