NAB's chief customer experience officer, Rachel Slade, has been appointed as the organisation's group executive for personal banking, following a reorganisation of the company's leadership team.

In her new role, Slade will have end-to-end accountability for the home lending and everyday banking needs. This includes looking after the branch network as well as direct and digital channels.

Slade joined NAB in 2017 as executive general manager of deposits and transaction services and was promoted to CCEO after less than two years with the organisation. She came from Westpac, where she spent more than 10 years in a variety of roles including GM of group strategy, head of international products, and GM for global transactional services.

Slade is joined by Nathan Goonan, who was appointed group executive for strategy and innovation.

"Rachel and Nathan are talented leaders with deep experience in banking and will play critical roles in delivering for our customers and our bank," NAB CEO Ross McEwan said. "As Chief Customer Experience Orricer Rachel has been passionate about creating better experiences for customers and has led significant changes including simplifying our products and improving our digital solutions."
