NAB executive steps up following COO resignation

National Australia Bank (NAB) has announced that Rachel Slade, currently the bank's executive general manager, deposits & transaction services, will step into the role of acting group executive, customer products & services following the resignation of chief operating officer, Antony Cahill, effective 14 September 2018.
NAB CEO, Andrew Thorburn, said he was "delighted to ask Rachel to take on this role" while he "consider[s] next steps."
Slade, who has 20 years' professional experience, was appointed to her executive general manager role in January 2017 and leads NAB's global transactional banking business.
Editors note: Cahill held the role of group executive, product & markets for two years before his promotion to COO in August 2016.
