Myer Family Co appoints Head of Investments

A spokesperson for Myer Family Co. (MFCo) has confirmed the appointment of Adam Walk as the firm's new head of investments, effective January 2017.

Walk is a founding director at Drew, Walk & Co., a boutique firm of consulting financial economists. He has over 15 years' professional experience in investment and risk management roles, most recently as head of research in QIC's Lifecycle Strategies group, where he was responsible for the group's research, portfolio design and investment risk management activities.

Prior to that, he worked as a research consultant in QIC's Global Multi-Asset group (then known as the Strategy group). Previously he was a senior investment professional at QSuper Limited, where he provided investment policy and risk advice to fiduciaries overseeing more than $50 billion in assets, and a risk manager at Bank of Queensland.

In his new role, Walk is joined by Drew, Walk & Co. co-founder, Michael Drew, who was appointed as MFCo's chief investment officer in January 2017.
