Morningstar Australasia CEO to depart

Morningstar Australasia, a subsidiary of investment research provider Morningstar, has announced that chief executive officer Heather Brilliant is stepping down, effective September 2017.

Brilliant has led Morningstar Australasia since 2014 and is leaving the firm to take on the role of managing director, Americas with Colonial First State Global Asset Management/First State Investments based in New York.

Replacing Brilliant at Morningstar Australasia is current Asia-Pacific head of products and solutions, Jamie Wickham, who will step into the role on 1 September 2017.

Commenting on Brilliant's departure, Morningstar's CEO, Kunal Kapoor, said: "I would like to thank Heather for her numerous contributions to our business over the years. She leaves Morningstar Australasia well positioned for its next phase of growth."
