Morningstar appoints Head of Insto Portfolio Management

Morningstar Investment Management Australia has announced the appointment of Jody Fitzgerald as head of institutional portfolio management and solutions, effective late November 2018.

In this role, Fitzgerald will be responsible for the design and management of institutional portfolios and solutions, the firm said.

Fitzgerald has more than 20 years' industry experience and most recently served as head of investment product and strategy for Australian Unity Investment. Prior to that, she held senior management roles at UBS Wealth Management, Deutsche Asset Management, and Skandia.

Morningstar has also the announced the appointment of new Asia Pacific chief investment officer, Matt Wacher, who will succeed Andrew Lill in late January 2019.

A spokesperson for Australian Unity confirmed that Fitzgerald will not be replaced.
