Morgan Stanley Australia (Morgan Stanley) has confirmed the promotion of Bryce Thompson to the role of head of equity capital markets, effective May 2017.
Thompson joined Morgan Stanley in 2011 as a director in the capital markets team. Prior to this, he worked for UBS Investment Bank, in the firm's Melbourne office.
In an internal memo to staff announcing the promotion, as well as the promotion of Bob Herbert to the role of head of fixed income capital markets, the firm said: "Since joining [Morgan Stanley], Bryce has made pivotal contributions in the origination and execution of some of our largest equity transactions."
Both Herbert and Thompson will report to Mark Burmeister, head of global capital markets for Australia.
