Date: February 2017
Position: Chief Investment Officer

Meat Industry Employees' Superannuation Fund (MIESF) chief investment officer, Mary McLaughlin, has confirmed to Industry Moves that she will be stepping down from the role, effective 3 February 2017.

She is currently seeking new opportunities within the industry and says that she is looking to contribute to the "interesting challenges such as how funds engage with members as they transition from accumulation to retirement."

McLaughlin joined the fund in July 2013 and said that the "breadth of the role has been wonderful, from asset allocation modelling to trading securities-but the most rewarding part has been helping people build a nest egg for their retirement."

She added: "While I won't miss the paintings of carcasses in MIESF's boardroom, I will miss working with a board that has such a strong connection to its members."

The MIESF board will review its internal structure before deciding about a replacement for McLaughlin.
