Midwinter appoints Chief Executive Officer

Financial advice technology firm Midwinter Financial Services has announced the appointment of Jeff Hall as chief executive officer.

Hall, who has over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry, joins Midwinter after almost seven years as a director within the wealth and asset management division of Ernst & Young. Previously, his roles included serving as general manager of van Eyk, as head of the professional services division of COIN Software, and as manager of Accenture.

Midwinter's co-founder and executive director Julian Plummer said: "We've had our eyes on Jeff's skillset for some time - having worked closely with him on several major technology projects, including the successful implementation of the StatePlus Future Operating Model".

He added: "With Jeff joining the team, it allows all three founding directors to drill even deeper into the future requirements of the modern financial advice provider and bring these learnings into realisation through our innovation software solutions."

Hall said of his appointment: "I'm happy to be back in the industry with such a well-known organisation - I believe Midwinter is currently the number two provider of financial planning technology in Australia and I'm looking forward to helping them strengthen that position."
