MGD brings aboard new director for investment advisory

Two well-known governance experts have moved from their own consultancy to MGD, a growing boutique financial services firm.

Adam Walk will join the firm as director of investment advisory.

Walk founded Drew, Walk, & Co in 2012 with Michael Drew who will also join MGD as chief investment officer.

In their new roles, Drew and Walk will act as advisers to clients of MGD Private, working with family offices.

"Sound investment governance, fiduciary best practice and goals-based investing are three of the fundamental underpinnings of the day-to-day tailored wealth management advice we provide for our clients," MGD chief executive John Barton said.

"Michael and Adam bring with them years of experience and research along with extensive knowledge in these areas and I have full confidence in their ability to navigate the complexities and create true value for our clients."

Walk is adjunct professor at the University of Notre Dame and also a former partner of Stonechat Capital as well as former head of investments at Myer Family Company and an alternate director at Rest.
