MetLife appoints former NAB Head of People

MetLife has announced the appointment of Allyson Carlile as head of people and culture for its Australian business, based in the firm's Sydney office, effective November 2016.

Carlile brings over 15 years' people management experience to the role. She joins from NAB Asset Management where she was the head of people. Prior to her role at NAB, she also held a number of executive and senior positions at leading blue-chip financial organisations including Westpac, Barclays Global Investors and BT Financial Group.

Commenting on the new appointment, CEO MetLife Australia, Deanne Stewart, said: "Creating a world class work environment remains a high priority for MetLife. I'm delighted that we have recruited someone of Allyson's expertise and experience. I look forward to working closely with her in developing our people and culture agenda to support MetLife's Australian business strategy as we move to the next phase of growth."
