Mercer reshuffles retirement & investment consulting leadership

Mercer has confirmed that senior partner Simon Eagleton will take on the additional role of retirement & investment consulting business leader, following the departure of incumbent Graeme Mather, who is taking up the role of head of product and distribution at Schroders in August 2016.

Eagleton has been with Mercer for 24 years and currently leads the firm's investments business across the Pacific region.

Commenting on his appointment, Eagleton said: "The combination of investment research and financial and actuarial consulting capabilities we have at Mercer is unique in the industry and arguably has never been more relevant given our ageing society and the challenges currently facing the financial services industry. I'm looking forward to the privilege of leading our team of investment and actuarial experts."
