Mercer appoints Product and Innovation Leader

Mercer has announced the appointment of Guy Thorburn, formerly Mercer's retirement business leader, to the newly-created role of product and innovation leader, responsible for bringing together innovation, product development and product management capabilities across the firm.

In a statement from the firm, Ben Walsh, managing director and Pacific market leader, said Thorburn was well credentialed for the newly-created role, having led both product teams and consulted on product design and implementation during a career spanning more than 25 years.

Graeme Mather, who currently leads the investments consulting team within Mercer's investments business, retains this role and succeeds Thorburn as retirement business leader.
