McCormick to depart LUCRF

LUCRF Super's head of product and strategy, Michael McCormick, is leaving the organisation after more than four years. In an email, McCormick wrote, "After nearly 4 years at the fund, I have made the difficult decision to pursue another career opportunity elsewhere. My final day will be Friday 10 September 2021.

He said that his next move will be within the superannuation industry however declined to give more details.

Before joining LUCRF in 2017 as a product manager, McCormick spent nearly a decade with ESSSuper in a variety of roles including manager of strategy and business reporting. McCormick started his career in a different industry entirely, as a manager of group reporting for Roadshow Films.

LUCRF deputy CEO and COO Antony Thow will take on some of McCormick's duties while the fund reviews its requirements going forward. LUCRF and AustralianSuper announced intentions to merge last month and target completion in the first half of 2022.
