Martin Currie promotes co-heads of global distribution

Active equity specialist Martin Currie has named co-heads of global distribution, promoting from within.

Kimon Kouryialas will be responsible for developing a global distribution platform to build on the company's success in institutional markets.

Kouryialas, based in Melbourne, was previously Martin Currie's head of dsitribution for APAC will focus on Australia, Asia, and the Middle East. He'll be joined by Mel Bucher, who will look after the Americas and European market.

Martin Currie CEO, Julian Idle, says that this is a good time to grow their presence globally. "Our investment performance has been exceptional across the board and it is an exciting time to promote Kimon and Mel to their new roles as we seek to grow and develop the business globally, with a particular focus on retail."
