Rebecca McGrath has been appointed to the board of the Macquarie Group.

McGrath is currently the chair of mining company OzMinerals and is a director at the AICD, Goodman Group, and Investa Property Group. Until recently, she was also a member of the Australian advisory council for J.P. Morgan.

As an executive, McGrath spent more than 20 years in the oil industry, most recently as the CFO for BP in Australia.

She's joined on the board by Mike Roche.

McGrath's appointment brings the Macquarie Group board to 11, including five women. For the 12-member Macquarie Bank board, six members are female.
