Lyn Gearing departs CSC board

The Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC) has announced that long standing board director, Lyn Gearing, has stepped down from her role, with her term ending on 12 September 2016.

Gearing joined the CSC board in 2011 and also sat on the audit and risk management committee.

Gearing has many years' experience in superannuation, funds management, corporate finance and management consulting. She was chief executive officer of State Super from 1997 to 2002 and was a non-executive director of Queensland Investment Corporation, IMB Limited and the Garvan Research Foundation.

Commenting on her departure, CSC chair Patricia Cross thanked Gearing for five years of "dedicated" service.

"Lyn made a very significant contribution during her term and I have greatly valued her professionalism, knowledge and expertise."

Gearing's replacement is Ariane Baker, who is currently also the general manager, products and markets at JBWere. Baker commenced on 13 September 2016.
