LUCRF names new Head of Investments

Leigh Gavin has been appointed head of investments at $5billion industry super fund LUCRF Super, effective May 2016.

Gavin joins LUCRF from Frontier Advisors where he has spent the last 14 years in a number of roles, including head of Australian equities, head of property and most recently as a senior consultant.

In a statement from LUCRF, chief operating officer Antony Thow said: "Leigh will play a crucial role in helping the fund achieve its investment objectives and ensuring our members can maximise their retirement savings."

Commenting on his appointment, Gavin said: "I am excited to be joining LUCRF Super and a team that is very aligned to its members. Given the fund's long and highly respected reputation it truly is a privilege and I can't wait to get started".
