LUCRF Super has announced the appointment of Joseph Di Leo as the fund's new board chair, effective 1 January 2019.

Di Leo, who joined the $6 billion industry fund in March 2018 as an employer representative, is a former managing director of Allied Mills Australia and former chief operating officer of Graincorp Ltd. He also served on the board's of the Port Kembla Port Corporation and Teys Australia and currently serves on the board of Namoi Cotton Ltd.

Commenting on his appointment, Di Leo said: "LUCRF Super [supports] and will continue to support all workers across Australia, helping them achieve financial dignity now and into their retirement. I'm proud to be the Chair of the fund that started it all and has such a strong history and bright future ahead."

Di Leo replaces JTim Kennedy, who completed his two-year term as chair on 31 December 2018 before stepping into the role of deputy chair.
