Lucerne Investment Partners appoint comms director

Alex Cowie has joined investment group Lucerne Investment Partners as executive director of communications.

Lucerne CEO Anthony Murphy said they were pleased to appoint Cowie into this new position. "Alex has forged a remarkable career in content and marketing in the funds and wealth management industries and has a strong track record in developing large and highly engaged audiences.

"This has allowed us to create this role to drive the growth of Lucerne's key divisions including our private wealth division, private debt business and the Lucerne Alternative Investments Fund, which returned over 8.0% for FY 2020."

Cowie joins Lucerne from investing and finance news service Livewire Markets, where he spent more than four years as a strategist and content director, looking after the content strategy across all channels and media.

It was during his time at Canaccord Genuity as director of research and distribution that he first worked with now Lucerne CEO Murphy.

He also spent several years as editor of Diggers and Drillers, the small-cap resources equity trading newsletter.

Lucerne Investment Partners was founded in 2015.
