Lonsec research adds managed fund research director

Current Lonsec executive director of research Libby Newman is taking on a new role in the organisation, as director of managed fund research. The organisation says the move will help them capitalise on her considerable experience and passion for research.

Newman will be directly involved in developing Lonsec's research capabilities and maintaining the high standards of its processes.

Newman has been with Lonsec in a variety of capacities since joining the organisation as a senior investment analyst in 2007. Before her current role of executive director, Newman was head of manager research.

Lonsec announced several appointments this week, including adding Lorraine Robinson as executive director.

"The speed of growth at Lonsec continues to necessitate the addition of quality people to our team," said Lonsec CEO Charlie Haynes.
