Lonsec appoints Executive Director, SuperRatings as part of leadership restructure

Lonsec has announced that Kirby Rappell has been appointed as executive director of its superannuation research business, SuperRatings, as part of a new 'executive director structure' which Lonsec CEO, Charlie Haynes, said will provide "greater unity between [the firm's] two major investment research arms, Lonsec Research and SuperRatings", enabling the firm to "leverage the depth and breadth of [its] investment product research in both the managed funds and superannuation space."

Rappell's title was previously CEO of SuperRatings, having been appointed to the role in October 2017.

He is joined by Libby Newman, former head of manager research, who has been promoted to the role of executive director of Lonsec Research. Rounding out the team is Lukasz de Pourbaix, chief investment officer of Investment Solutions, who will continue to lead the Investment Solutions business with the new title of executive director and CIO.
