Long-serving Independent Director to depart Challenger

Challenger has announced that long-serving independent director, Graham Cubbin, will be stepping down from the board after 14 years' service.

In acknowledging his contribution, Challenger chair, Peter Polson, said: "On behalf of our shareholders and the board, I want to thank Graham for his dedication and commitment to Challenger over many years, through the transformation and growth of the company."

He added: "I have always appreciated his experience and insight and wish him all the best for the future."

Cubbin has served as chair of Challenger's remuneration committee, and as a member of the group risk committee, group audit committee and nomination committee.

Challenger has also announced the appointment of new independent director, Duncan West, effective immediately.
