After 16 years at CareSuper, with 10 spent as chair or deputy chair, Barry Watchorn has retired from the CareSuper board. In 1998, nominated by the Australian Industry Group (AiG), Barry joined CareSuper as an employer director. He was previously a director of AiG and the Australian Chamber of Manufacturers. In a career spanning 30 years in corporate and industry super, Barry also served as a director on the boards of two other industry super funds, including 9 years as chair of ARF (now Australian Super). In 2003 he received the Trustee of the Year Award at the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds.
