Nada Kalam has been appointed as associate director of asset management with Lighthouse Infrastructure.

Kalam joins Lighthouse from KPMG where she spent the better part of two years with KPMG Australia as an engagement manager for projects across health services, government, and utilities. She previously spent time in industry as an energy systems engineer with Telstra and business consultant with management consultancy MetaPM.

"Joining Lighthouse gives me the unique opportunity of bringing together my experiences in engineering and asset management with my passion for sustainability, to develop tangible benefits for local communities and to deliver value for our investors," said Kalam.

Lighthouse managing director Mitch King said that the new role is in response to the growth of the firm's portfolio of investments. "Nada's extensive experience working in the Australian energy sector, in addition to her broader asset management and sustainability capabilities are an excellent fit for Lighthouse given our firm's focus on investing in sustainable infrastructure. Nada's desire to professionally apply her skill set and engineering experience to work through some of society's most pressing infrastructure problems, including climate change, specialist disability and affordable accommodation, will enhance the value of our assets and ultimately generate better outcomes for our investors and our stakeholders."
