Legg Mason bolsters Sydney office with National BDM appointment

Legg Mason has announced the appointment of Adam Muston as national business development manager, based in the firm's recently opened Sydney office.

Muston has over ten years' experience in the financial services industry and joins Legg Mason from UBS Asset Management where he was national sales manager for wholesale sales. Prior to joining UBS in 2014, Muston was an equity and derivative sales manager with Shaw Stockbroking.

Commenting on his appointment at Legg Mason, managing director, Australia, Andy Sowerby, said: "The appointment of Adam is another important step for our business and he brings a deep understanding of the marketplace and will be strong addition to our team."

He added: "Adam will work with Matt Stovold, Legg Mason's sales director and head of the recently opened Sydney office. He will work towards strengthening key partnerships in the retail advisory sector. The skills and knowledge he has gained from working in the stockbroking profession will also be an asset to the company."
