Edward Smith appointed CIO of legalsuper

Edward Smith has been appointed chief investment officer of legalsuper, the $2.7billion industry fund for Australia's legal community. Smith has nearly 30 years' of experience in financial services, working across funds management, asset/liability management, asset consulting and business development.

He joins legalsuper from Australian Unity, where he was head of portfolio management. Before that he held roles at Frontier Investment Consulting, Victorian Funds Management Corporation, Trust Investment Management Limited and Frank Russell Company.
