APPOINTMENT
HOSTPLUS SUPERANNUATION FUND
Date: July 2021
Position: Employer Director

Former Federal Minister Craig Laundy has joined the board of Hostplus as an employer director.

Laundy, who held elected office for Reid from 2013-2019 in the Liberal Party, was born into the hospitality industry. He is the son of pub baron Arthur and Margaret Laundy, whose family own more than 30 pubs in New South Wales.

During his parliamentary career, Laundy was the Assistant Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science and Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs. His last portfolio was as Minister for Small and Family Business, the Workplace and Deregulation in the Turnbull Government. He retired from politics in 2019.

Laundy's appointment to the Hostplus board comes amid a raft of changes as several long-serving directors reach the end of their term limits. He's joined on the Hostplus board by Janet Whiting and David Attenborough.
