Lakehouse adds senior BDM

Edwina Best has joined Lakehouse Capital as senior BDM. She will work closely with Stuart James, who has also joined the organisation as head of distribution.

Best has spent more than 15 years as a consultant with Gateway Financial Marketing, a firm she co-founded in 2004. Gateway provides research, marketing, and distribution services to funds management organisations.

Before setting up Gateway, Best was an associate director with Macquarie Funds Management.

Lakehouse Capital offers two unlisted managed funds, the Lakehouse Small Companies Fund and the Lakehouse Global Growth Fund. Lakehouse Capital chief investment officer, Joe Magyer, says his goal was to focus on the investments side of the business. Now that the funds are "generating impressive returns over 3 years and 2 years respectively, the time is now right to increase our engagement and make these solutions available to a wider audience.
