L1 Capital has brought Chris Clayton aboard as head of distribution. He will be responsible for managing the organisation's business development, marketing, and client services functions.
"We have known Chris for many years and have been impressed with his professionalism and leadership capabilities," said L1 chief investment officer Mark Landau. "We are excited to have Chris join us and lead our client business."
Clayton has significant industry experience, including senior accounts roles. He was the head of national accounts and research at Colonial First State, the CEO of Acadian Asset Management Australia, and the head of asset management sales at NAB. Most recently Clayton was the head of sales and marketing for BT Investment Management and a partner at Seed Partnerships.
"I've known the L1 Capital team for a number of years, and I have always been impressed with their focus on delivering for their clients," said Clayton. "I'm looking forward to being part of the next phase of their journey."
L1 was founded in 2007 by Raphael Lamm and Mark Landau. They have $3.5 billion in FUM on behalf of institutional investors.
