JPMAM expands Australian distribution team
J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has announced the appointment of Prema Basoor to the firm's Australian distribution team as executive director, institutional client advisor.
Based in Melbourne, Basoor will be responsible for "deepening relationships with institutional clients through thought leadership and the delivery of tailored investment solutions," JPMAM said. She will report to JPMAM's Australian chief executive officer, Rachel Farrell.
Basoor, who has 18 years' experience working in funds management, previously spent five years as a director of BlackRock's Australian institutional team. Before that, she worked for Fidelity Investments, State Street Global Advisors, ING Investment Management and Bankers Trust Funds Management.
Commenting on her appointment at JPMAM, Farrell said: "As our business continues to grow, we're delighted to have someone of Prema's calibre and experience join the team. Her depth of knowledge of the industry and passion for providing the best client investment solutions will further strengthen our relationships and the value we add to our clients."
