Janus Henderson bolsters local team

Janus Henderson has added a new director to its institutional distribution team in Australia.

Reporting to the global asset manager's local head of institutional distribution Tom Kelly, Ashleigh Lane will be responsible for building and expanding the institutional business in Australia.

Lane joins from Capital Group, where she was a managing director responsible for leading the institutional business in Australia and New Zealand.

Before that, she held roles at both State Street Global Advisors in the institutional client group and the Motor Accident Commission of South Australia.

She was an account executive, institutional business development and sales at the former and

an investment analyst at the latter.

Janus Henderson has also elevated Sophie Nelson to an institutional sales associate.

Previously Nelson worked in the Janus Henderson Australian marketing team for the past four years.

Earlier in her career, she worked at Hyperion Asset Management and InvestSMART.
