Position: Director, Institutional Solutions

Janus Henderson has appointed Greg Clarke as its first director of institutional solutions.

Clarke was most recently an asset specialist with TAL's investments, retirement, and new propositions. He came across from Suncorp when its life insurance business was acquired by TAL.

In comments, Janus Henderson's head of Australia, Matt Gaden, says Clarke will link the company's institutional business, marketing, and investments divisions. "We believe his extensive investment and research experience will complement our ability to provide clients with insights that are focused on capitalising the opportunities and solving the challenges they face.

"As our institutional audience evolves to become ever more sophisticated, and the complexity of some of our strategies increases, it is critical that Janus Henderson creates better and more client-centric messaging which accurately represents the capabilities of the firm and ensures that clients feel that they have been listened to and understood."

Before his time with Suncorp and TAL, Clarke was the head of growth assets for QBE Insurance, looked after equities and property at Morningstar, and held roles with Antipodal Capital, Pengana Capital, QIC, and AMP Capital.
