J.P. Morgan names former Goldman Sachs exec as Head of Syndicate

J.P. Morgan has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Dyson Bowditch as head of syndicate for Australia and New Zealand, effective end of July 2017.

In the role, Dyson will be responsible for growing J.P. Morgan's client franchise and increasing the firm's market penetration.

Commenting on the appointment, J.P. Morgan said: "[Dyson] has a significant breadth of experience, relationships and will be a strong addition to our business, working closely with our Equity Distribution, Equity Capital Markets and Investment Banking coverage teams.

Most recently, Dyson was head of syndicate and head of equities at Goldman Sachs. He joined its predecessor firm GSJBWere in 2006 and was promoted to managing director in 2015. He also worked at J.P. Morgan earlier in his career.

Joining Dyson at J.P. Morgan are two other former Goldman Sachs executives, Andrew Tanner and Steve Maartensz, who have been appointed as co-heads of equity distribution for Australia and New Zealand

The firm said of the appointments: "Growing our equities franchise to fully capture the opportunities that exist for our business and build our market share into leadership positions remains a top priority for us.
