ISPT names new Chair

Unlisted property fund manager, Industry Superannuation Property Trust (ISPT), has announced the appointment of Rosemary Hartnett as its new chair, effective 1 May 2018.

Hartnett, who has been an independent director of ISPT since 2011, has replaced James Cain who was chair from 2009 until this month.

Hartnett has more than 30 years' experience in the Australian property sector and senior management experience in property finance, investment and development. She was previously the CEO of Housing Choices Australia (2012-2014) and she has worked as a senior property finance executive and a fund manager for trading and investment banks, including Macquarie Bank, ANZ and NAB.

Currently, she is a director of IPFM, the ISPT/IFM International Property joint venture, and was previously an independent director of Aconex.

Commenting on her appointment as chair, ISPT's CEO, Daryl Browning, said: "On behalf of the Board I am delighted to have Rosemary appointed to this role and take over leadership of ISPT and our commitment to delivering low-cost risk-adjusted returns for our Investors and ultimately to fund the retirement of their members. Rosemary is ISPT's second female Chair."
