IRESS appoints new board member

Financial technology provider, IRESS, has announced the appointment of Julie Fahey to its board as an independent director, effective 6 October 2017.

Fahey has more than 30 years' experience in technology and is currently a member of the boards of SEEK, Datacom and non-profit disability services organisation Yooralla. She is also a member of the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority's ICT advisory board.

Previously, she was deputy managing director at SAP Australia and executive director, information systems and services at GM Holden.

Commenting on her appointment at IRESS, chair Tony D'Aloisio, said: "I welcome Julie to the board of IRESS. She has strong technology, strategy and operational experience in a variety of senior management and governance roles. She will bring a valuable perspective from a successful career working in a broad range of industries, including financial services and technology."
