IRESS has confirmed to Industry Moves that its long-serving chief technology officer (CTO), David Walker, will move into the newly-created role of chief architect, effective January 2017.

Walker joined IRESS in January 1995 and was appointed CTO in 2001.

Commenting on Walker's new role within the firm, IRESS' CEO Andrew Walsh said: [David will work] in a part-time role focused on the technical design and architecture of IRESS' systems and solutions. We are pleased to have retained David's skills and experience within IRESS as part of a smooth transition."

Walker's successor as CTO is former IOOF chief information officer, Andrew Todd, who will commence in the role in January 2017.
