IOOF Chair to step down

IOOF has announced that long standing chair, Rodger Sexton, will be stepping down from the role following the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 24 November 2016.

Sexton has been chair at IOOF since 2012 and has been a director at the firm for 15 years. He has more than 25 years' experience in senior management in finance and the investment banking industry.

He will be succeeded by current non-executive director, George Venardos, who joined the board in 2009.

Commenting on his departure Sexton said: "It's been a privilege to serve as a director and chairman and I leave safe in the knowledge that the company has an experienced chairman, a well skilled board and a highly capable executive team...Whilst I continue to remain very excited about IOOF's future, I have decided that now is the right time for me to pass the responsibility of board leadership to my successor."
