Investment Manager to join Cbus

Cbus has announced that Alexandra West is joining the fund in the newly created role of investment manager, innovation and strategy, effective 5 October 2016.

In this new role, based in the fund's Sydney office, West will be focused on driving innovation in investments, delivering strategic initiatives and building investment partnerships.

Previously, West was the director of strategy and new business development with Fidelity Investments in the US. Before this, she was a manager with McKinsey, Harvard University Menzies Scholar and a strategic advisor to clients including the International Finance Corporation/World Bank.

Commenting on West's appointment, executive manager, Kristian Fok said: "We are delighted to have attracted someone of Alexandra's calibre to the leadership team. Alexandra has worked closely with us to design our future investing model. She will now use her significant experience to cement the fund's position as an innovative, long-term investor, with expertise in direct investing in the built environment."

West says that she is pleased to be joining the fund and she looks forward to driving the evolution of the investments strategy because "all Australians deserve a dignified retirement."
