Investec appoints MD Corporate Advisory

Investec Australia has appointed Chris Stefanovski as managing director of the firm's corporate advisory team. In the role, Stefanovski will advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing and the development of corporate strategy, and work alongside Ben Smith who heads up the corporate advisory team.

Stefanovski was previously a partner and head of M&A - Sydney in KPMG's deal advisory mergers & acquisitions team. Prior to this, he worked at ABN Amro and Macquarie.

Investec has also appointed Uyi Ighodaro to lead the newly created Financial Sponsors Transaction Group, a partnership between Investec's Corporate Advisory and Corporate & Acquisition Finance divisions.
