INVESTA names new CIO

Investa Property Group (INVESTA) has appointed Peter Menegazzo as the group's chief investment officer.

Menegazzo has been with INVESTA for over 11 years, most recently as group executive and fund manager of the Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF).

In his new role, he will be responsible for identifying and implementing strategic group initiatives, managing capital relationships, overseeing capital transactions and research and providing investment support for clients of the platform.

Commenting on his appointment, Menegazzo said: "It's been a tremendously rewarding time running ICPF and I'm proud of what has been achieved. I'm looking forward to commencing in this new strategic role and continuing to leverage the strength of the platform, while capitalising on the opportunities, knowledge and capability of our highly experienced team."

INVESTA has also appointed Jonathan Callaghan, the group's former managing director and finance director, as chief executive officer.

Commenting on both Callaghan and Menegazzo's appointments, INVESTA chair David Baffsky said: "The Board is delighted to confirm these key appointments. Jonathan's broad experience, capability and intricate knowledge of the Investa platform and its people will deliver continuity, growth and ongoing strong performance, and we are excited about the prospect of giving Peter a broader strategic role across the platform."
