Global investment manager, Insight Investment, has strengthened its Australian presence with the appointment of Rob Thompson to the newly-created role of head of adviser distribution, based in the firm's Sydney office.
Thompson joins from PM Capital where he was head of distribution, a role he left in September 2016. He has also held senior adviser distribution roles at Perpetual and Macquarie Bank.
Commenting on his appointment, director of Insight Investment's Australian business, Bruce Murphy, said: "Rob's appointment adds to the very strong foundation that Insight has built in Australia and signals our intention to now extend our institutional capabilities to the local intermediary network."
