Australian impact fund manager, Impact Investment Group (IIG), has confirmed that its co-founder and acting CEO, Danny Almagor, will be stepping down from executive responsibilities but will continue as the group's chair.

Almagor stepped in as the firm's interim CEO following the September departure of co-founder and CEO, Chris Lock.

Lock's successor as CEO will be former Impact Investing Australia CEO, Daniel Madhavan, who commences with IIG on 13 November 2017 and will work alongside Almagor in a transitional phase before officially taking over as CEO in January 2018.

Almagor is the founding CEO at Small Giants, an organisation designed to "effect social and environmental change through business, and Australia's first B Corporation." He was the inaugural Social Entrepreneur in Residence at RMIT and the founder and former CEO of Engineers Without Borders Australia. He has served on numerous boards, including many of the Small Giants family of businesses.

Currently, he serves on the non-profit boards of Stand Up, B Labs Australia, Australian Jewish Funders, and the advisory board for the Gross National Happiness Centre in Bhutan. He is also an observer/advisor on the Toniic board and the advisory committee for the Unitus Livelihood Impact Fund.
