NSW Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian has announced that David Deverall has been appointed chief executive of NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp). Deverall announced his resignation as chief executive and managing director of Hunter Hall on 19 January and will join TCorp on 8 February.
Commenting on the appointment, Berejiklian said: "As an experienced CEO, Mr Deverall has led companies in the financial services sector, including Perpetual, for over 13 years of his successful 27-year career in finance."
She added: "Mr Deverall's strategic and operational leadership will be critical in helping to carry out the Government's strategic economic change and investment agenda."
Deverall replaces Steve Knight, who stood down from the position of chief executive in October 2015 after 10 years in the role to pursue a career as a non-executive director.
Hunter Hall has confirmed that chair Peter Hall will act as interim CEO while the search for Deverall's replacement is underway.
