Noel McNamara, who has been the HSBC Australia interim CEO since June 2019, will step back into his chief risk officer role when Kaber Mclean takes the position permanently in early March.

McNamara has been with HSBC since 2007 in both Australia and New Zealand, and has been the chief risk officer since 2016.

In a statement, Peter Wong, deputy chair and CEO of HSBC Limited thanked "Noel for his significant contribution over the past eight months, and for the exceptional leadership he has showed during an important period for the bank".
