Hostplus has confirmed the appointment of Judith Ann Hill to the $24 billion fund's board, effective 10 February 2017.

Hill joins as an employee representative nominated by United Voice, representing members in the accommodation, hospitality and gaming industries. She has experience as an independent consultant in workplace reform and industrial relations.

Previously, she held roles as secretary of the Australian Insurance Employees Union NSW, senior manager human resources for Sydney Water Board and as a consultant adviser to a Federal Government Minister.

At Hostplus, Hill replaces employee representative Rebecca Stark, who resigned in February 2017.

Hostplus' board of directors are equally represented by employer (nominated by the Australian Hotels Association (AHA)) and employee (nominated by United Voice) organisations. There are also three independent directors jointly selected by the AHA and United Voice.
