HESTA names investment risk lead

HESTA has appointed Matt Cameron as their first general manager of investment risk.

He comes to the industry fund from North America, having held roles with Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in client and market-facing risk management.

In his new role, Cameron will work with the fund's investments team to align risk management and governance, considering manager selection, asset allocation, investment operations, and market risk management and modelling.

Particularly, he'll look after risk management and governance frameworks of the fund's investment functions.

"Matt's experience will really help us sharpen our focus on investment risk, and he will work closely with the Investments team to enhance our approach to managing this critical risk area of the business."
