HESTA appoints Chief Operating Officer

HESTA, the $32b industry fund for the health and community services sector, has appointed Stephen Reilly to the newly-minted role of chief operating officer. Reilly is responsible for driving the fund's innovation and operational strategy for administration and insurance, finance, technology, risk and compliance, and investment operations.

He was most recently a principal with Booz & Company (now PwC Strategy&)-specialising in transformational and competitive strategy-and was previously an executive/strategist with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Commenting on his new appointment, Reilly, a former novelist and radio presenter, said: "This role gives me an opportunity to share my eclectic experience across digital, innovation and differentiated experiences to help drive the strategic direction of this business and its operations."
