Head of Aus and NZ Insto Distribution leaves William Blair

Alex Francois has confirmed to Industry Moves his departure from the role of head of Australia and New Zealand institutional distribution at global investment banking & wealth management firm, William Blair & Company, effective November 2017.

Francois first joined William Blair in September 2012. Previously, he was head of distribution at Provident Capital for two years and prior to that, was managing director and head of sales and marketing at Principal Global Investors for five years.

At William Blair, he has been replaced by Alex Rolfe who was most recently director, head of Asia Pacific at Arrowstreet Capital in Sydney.

Francois told Industry Moves that he has recently taken on a role with Deutsche Bank, the details of which will be confirmed in 2018, and is "excited about a new challenge."
